The Manufacturing Specialist will be responsible for providing technical leadership and performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on multiple machines. The machinery includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Cut to Length equipment (CTL)
Automated tube fabrication equipment, Silver 3 (setup, run, and program)
Laser (set up and run machine and selecting nests in nesting program)
The Manufacturing Specialist will also be responsible for inspecting parts to print and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality per specifications.
Be point of contact for other machine operators on shift for technical advice and to coordinate activities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
Perform the duties of a safety first responder
Housekeeping – 5S
Enter maintenance work orders in EAM as needed
Other duties as assigned
Friday – 6 am to 2:30 pm
Saturday – 5 am to 5:30 pm
Sunday – 5 am to 5:30 pm
Monday – 6 am to 2:30 pm
Skills & proficiencies:
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, technical degree is a plus. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within this particular field.
Experience as a machine operator
Knowledge of production procedures
Experience as forklift operator desirable; Certification will be required
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
Basic knowledge of industrial robotics and/or automated manufacturing equipment is desired
Must have demonstrated flexibility in moving from job to job as needed. Must have been willing and able to move to the need when requested to do so.
Mechanical troubleshooting skills
Certification as safety first responder will be requires
Excellent oral and written communication skills
