Job Description

Title: Director of Operations Excellence – Continuous Improvement

Location: Arkansas



As the Director of Operations Excellence , you are responsible for driving process improvements for all Value Streams and Service processes within Commercial Manufacturing for North America in Arkansas.

You will be trusted to:

  • Serve as a catalyst for all Lean improvement processes.

  • Partner with operational process owners to establish strategic goals, Lean initiatives, Lean engagement and define process analytics for the organization.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to define linkages between strategic objectives and process improvements, using both analytical tools and project management techniques.

  • Remain the key focal point for the execution of functional teams, re-engineering of existing operations and establishing new operations based on the Lean strategy that is established for the operation.

  • Facilitate the establishment of the Lean Continuous Improvement Strategy and drive the deployment of that strategy through tactical planning and execution.

  • Influence change management, employee engagement and lead projects related to process improvement.

  • Successful, 6+ year track record in large, single site industrial manufacturing organizations with deep expertise in Lean methodologies, tools and processes; understanding of all types of continuous improvement approaches

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance, with an advanced degree preferred.

  • Significant Lean/Sigma experience and knowledge of Lean analytics

  • Self-motivated, resourceful and entrepreneurial, demonstrating willingness for learning and improvement

  • Well-developed quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and critical thinking skills

  • Strong influencing and communication skills; capable of securing management buy-in, sponsorship and investment through strong articulation of business benefits aligned to broader organizational objectives

  • Skilled with the use of Microsoft and other business software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, etc.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills that result in effective communications.

  • Exceptional presentation skills to senior executives.

  • Lean and Six Sigma required.

  • Able to motivate and lead teams to achieve goals.
