Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, a $280M division of Lennox Intl, is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Management responsible for leading and managing the product development and support activities for product lines that are critical to the future growth of the company.
The Senior Manager, Product Management, will work cross functionally to develop additional refrigeration products, features and services as well as develop and execute strategic product initiatives to drive revenue and share growth within their assigned product families. They will be responsible for developing industry-leading technical value proposition messaging and collaborate with marketing communications to create technical and marketing support materials to assist selling to assigned channel and across the businesses’ brands.
The Senior Manager, Product Management, will also be responsible for evaluating the performance of their respective product lines, as well as tracking the success of product modifications, launches and/ or initiatives. They will be responsible for customer marketing related activities and product gap needs, as well as identifying both positive and negative customer trends and will be expected to make recommendations for improvement in sales and margin growth.
The Senior Manager, Product Management, will also create technical product comparison against the competition, identify value proposition of the products in order to develop sales materials (brochures, catalogs, cases, etc) and develop technical and commercial strategies throughout different channels.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Product Development.
Develop strategic product roadmaps and plans for existing and new channels and market segments.
Research and analyze new technologies for product line implementation.
Product Enhancement/Rationalization Implementation.
Develop implementation plans with the channel management and sales teams.
Execute on approved implementation.
Customer and Sales Support.
Develop value propositions, marketing/sales messaging, support materials and tools to assist selling the product line in key market segments and channels.
Develop product competitive analysis.
Assist sales with customer, channel, market and industry events as a technical representative knowledgably about the products and services offered.
Execute initiatives that build market and channel awareness of new and existing products and drive pull through.
Analyze market data and define overall product line market segment strategy.
Interact with customers, sales, and industry resources to stay in tune with the current market, the competition, new trends, and changing regulations.
Work to understand what drives customer decision-making and develop product plans to gain greater market adoption.
Product Line Management.
Track, analyze and manage product line revenue and margin.
Research, analyze and adjust product line pricing levels in response to industry and competitive opportunities and threats.
Resolve customer technical and commercial issues working in conjunction with other functions.
Prioritize and determine which projects and initiatives to invest resources in to execute the product line strategy.
Requires a technical bachelor's degree (Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred) or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
MBA or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
Requires 10 years total of related experience.
Requires at least 5 years of refrigeration or related industrial product management experience.
Previous experience of launching a new product line catered to a specific market or customer segment from business case conception to product launch preferred.
Familiarity with building business cases, establishing market sizes, proposing go to market strategies and executing associated launch plans is a preferred skillset.
Past experience with influencing and directing multiple stakeholders across all company functions to achieve desired result.
Deep understanding of the refrigeration cycle, commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment and food service/food retail/cold storage markets preferred
Strong mechanical/technical background to lead analysis and development of product solutions solving customer issues.
Requires strong understanding of approaches to assessing and improving the customer value proposition.
Strategic mindset, organization, analytical and strong cross-functional leadership abilities.
Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
