Thorough understanding and application of all safety requirements to conduct leak check and vacuum.
Read and interpret piping diagrams
Understand BOM and ETO notes
Enter defect data into the defect database
Describe types of compressed gasses in use and associated hazards
Safely and proficiently operate all leak check and vacuum equipment in use:
Change oil in portable vacuum pumps as required
Detailed understanding of leak check process
Properly interpret piping diagrams and verify units to the diagram
Properly close-up units and prepare for leak check
Demonstrate leak check operations including:
Nitrogen pressurization and venting
Initial leak check
Helium pressurization and venting
Helium leak detection process
Leak isolation and repair
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic understanding of general blue prints. Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to read and interpret general blue prints. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Must have a good understanding of customer requirements.
