Job Description

This position reports directly to the Director of Finance for Lennox’s Worldwide Refrigeration segment. As a manager, the person in this position is responsible for the following:

  • Managing a team of two professionals in Richardson as well as multiple matrix relationships with finance staff in North America and Europe

  • Coordinating, consolidating and communicating the monthly financial forecasts

  • Prepares key standard and ad-hoc financial analyses to support internal financial reporting, planning and forecasting, including analysis of key P&L, balance sheet and cash flow metrics delivered to segment executives

  • Supporting the development of strategic initiatives and resulting planning assumptions that align with the segment's overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives

  • Coordinates with business units on the development of common performance metrics to support segment management in monitoring financial performance and determining actions to meet and exceed financial targets

  • Leads financial and process improvement projects at the segment and business unit level

  • Collaborates with business units and segment stakeholders to mitigate operational and financial risks ensuring adherence to Lennox’s internal controls

  • Position provides a high degree of visibility to segment President and CFO

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads communication with business units regarding the annual budget (“Frozen Annual Plan”) and Long-Range Plan requirements

  • Manages the most complex, large or difficult analysis projects; evaluates findings, prepares reports and makes recommendations to senior management

  • Evaluates the financial implications of proposed investments and transactions including Fx impact for international businesses

  • Leads, directs, evaluates and develops a team of financial professionals to ensure financial planning and analysis projects are conducted credibly and that recommendations and reports are accurate and timely

  • Analyzes, evaluates and develops forecasting models; identifies to management potential areas of opportunities and risks

  • Responsible for managing segment overhead spending budget/forecasting and allocations to business units

  • Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government regulations

  • Responsible for development and communication of the segment’s financial calendar

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience; MBA and/or advanced certification (e.g., CPA) a plus

  • Requires at least 8 years of related experience and at least 3 years of experience as a people manager

  • Broad expertise in budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis; background in manufacturing industry a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advanced Excel skills required

  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise and reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Qlik)

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to lead and manage

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across various levels and cross-culturally (i.e., Europe, Mexico and India-based support team)
