Job Description

Under general direction, has duties of performing, instructing, directing, and checking the work of other Business Solution Architects and Programming personnel in support of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) client/server applications. Analyzes business and user needs and follows through the full development life cycle.

  • Responsible for feasibility studies, statements of work, implementation, development, communication, testing, change management, and training strategies. Works with management, consultants, developers, and users to compile and prioritize enhancements and defect resolutions to applications and interfaces.

  • Designs and updates complex ERP configuration, builds changes, integration, extensions and enhancements to existing ERP application programs and reports according to software standards and conventions. Modifies, maintains, and updates complex ERP configuration and program routines.

  • Works on elements of large and complex installations, performs all aspects of programming assignments, and assists with systems design. Conducts functional design and testing for new projects. Supports data migration, data conversion, data loading, and performance improvement. Performs system-wide/cross-functional team management.

  • Responsible for solving highly technical and complex problems on multiple projects, and providing consultative support to internal staff. Educates others in the workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by ERP modules or other application systems. Provides mentoring and direction to team members and is a key contributor.

  • May manage projects with large budgets or of extended duration. Responsible for managing project plan, scope, risk, and resources. May act as team leader for large project teams. Participates in IT financial management activities including annual budgeting cycle, project estimating, capital approval process, project budget oversight, and resource time tracking.

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.

  • Reviews and debugs existing customizations and reports as necessary. Has full technical knowledge of all phases of ERP programming and system design. Must be able to resolve complex mismatches between user requirements and current application functionality.

  • Must have techno-functional knowledge of SAP ERP system.

  • Not only possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysis, but also considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both end users and IT staff, as well as senior business management. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to provide direction to career level team members.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.
