Job Description


As the HVAC Lab Supervisor, you will lead a team of mechanical engineer technicians in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. You will collaborate with cross functional team members in design, engineering, and production to build and test new prototypes. In this high visibility, high impact role, you will support industrial distributor customers by providing solutions that exceed expectations. Your ability to build and lead a high performing team paired with your investigative mindset will lead to your success in this position.

In this role, you will be trusted to:

  • Assign technicians to projects to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements.

  • Review tests results for complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.

  • Analyze data, test results and recommends modifications to components.

  • Review and designs test procedures to meet desired specifications.

  • Review project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements fabrication, assembly and testing.

  • Ordering and maintaining all lab supplies for testing, spare parts for calorimeter rooms and to help troubleshoot any problems regarding facilities and lab equipment.

This role may entail up to 10% travel.



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering strongly preferred. High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • 5+ years related experience.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

  • Excellent leadership skills.
