Lead Architect is a highly skilled internetworking professional with comprehensive IP knowledge who performs end-to-end services for clients using a consultative approach. This professional - architects, designs, integrations, tests, troubleshoots IP networks to successfully deliver IP networks. The architect finds innovative solutions to the most challenging requirements and problems. The architect is current with IP protocols and standards and how to apply them in a wide variety of environments.
Documents and recommends improvements to current environment and practices
Maintain/Design/Implement high network availability build for redundancy and resilience
Engage with Program teams and advise them on strategies to modernize legacy network architectures leveraging current and emerging next gen technical solutions and methodologies
Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational efficiency
Follows defined cost efficiency guidelines; continuously investigates alternatives to bring down operational costs
Implements and monitors network performance such as QoS; follows up on alerts generated by monitoring systems
Helps maintaining the configuration of the functional monitoring system
Helps with security audits of the network and improves the security posture; follows security best practices
Follows procedures and policies defined as best practice to comply with audit requirements
Act as the intermediate level of support for escalated end-user issues
Configures routers, switches and other network devices in accordance with published templates and standards
Tests disaster recovery setups both on a global and site-by-site basis
Ensure complete transparency and understanding of the network, definition and communication to the technical team and stakeholders
Automating scripts for deploying network configurations
Follows configuration management and review practices; suggests improvements to the more senior engineers
Bachelor's degree in CS or ECE or equivalent experience
At least 8 years of relevant experience with Enterprise networks
Good understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, HTTP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP & other Protocols
Must be proficient in Routing, Switching, WLAN and Data Center operations
Sound knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN, MPLS/L3 VPN
Experience with the Cisco Nexus platforms
Provide Network Design for the Cloud Footprint (Azure, AWS, GCP etc.)
Basic programming experience a plus (Python, Ansible)
Basic understanding for Load-Balancers – NetScaler/F5
Good Knowledge on SDN
Ability to be very customer oriented and willing to engage in the process of problem resolution
Ability to solve complex problems by successive decomposition
Experience juggling multiple responsibilities and understanding of prioritization
CCNP certification - Preferred
